Care Like Jesus

Henry Hutchinson

Main Idea:

To fulfill the “law of Christ,” according to Galatians 6:2, we should bear or carry each other’s burdens. We each have spiritual, emotional and physical burdens of all kinds. We all need to be cared for and to care for others. Believers in Jesus have a responsibility to show up and recognize each other’s burdens and to meet the needs that we see.

All Together Now

Rev. Dr. Billy Burch

Main Idea:

If one thing is true about people, it is that we are relational at our core. God made us that way. He created within us the capacity to relate to Him and others, keeping love at the forefront. With that said, the life we live is best done with the support, synergy, and mutual encouragement of ‘one another.’ That is squarely what CCC is all about and we are grateful that we get to do this all together! Today as we conclude the “All Together Now” series, let’s reflect on why God has made us this way, and what we are called to do as His people.

All Together Now

Rev. Dr. Billy Burch

Main Idea:

We come together as Christians to praise and worship God. We are called to be “All Together Now” as we grow in God, serve Him and share in fellowship together. Church is a gathering of believers, we are a “Flock”, “Body”, “Temple”, “Priesthood”, “Branches”.

From Brokenness to Blessing

Adam Udinski

Main Idea:

As humans, we are all broken, but God is nearby (see Jeremiah 23:23). He listens and meets our needs big and small (Matthew 6:26-30) and uses us in the lives of others to build His kingdom. The book of Ruth demonstrates all this and more in the beautiful story of Naomi, Ruth and Boaz, the kinsman-redeemer. Together, they preserve the family in Bethlehem that will produce King David and Jesus the Messiah.

Who is God?

Rev. Dr. Billy Burch

Main Idea:

This is the last week in our “Who Is God?” series. For us to answer “who is God?”, we need to look to who is Jesus. As we understand more about Jesus we will understand more about God.

Who Is God?

Rev. Dr. Billy Burch

Main Idea:

We all long to connect with our God. God offers many ways to connect with us. Today we will look at a few examples of how He has revealed Himself to several biblical figures so that they, and we, could draw near to Him.

Who Is God?

Rev. Dr. Billy Burch

Main Idea:

We all experience wins and losses in our lives. Losses include personal, professional and financial setbacks, ended relationships, and grief. Loss is painful and exposes us to our need for God. The good news is that God is always there for us.

Who Is God?

Rev. Dr. Billy Burch

Main Idea:

Who is God? And can we truly know Him? We try to envision Him, sometimes even to the point of contorting Him to fit into our box. Because of our limited imagination, we can fail to grasp a limitless God. A God who is three distinct Persons but yet One. Not only a Father, but a Son and a Holy Spirit. But can we truly know who God is? Can we relate to Him and trust Him the way a child trusts a father? As deep cries to deep, we all long to connect with our Creator.

In Christ: Paul's Letter to the Ephesians

In Christ: Paul's Letter to the Ephesians

Adam Udinski

Main Idea:

Ephesians 4:17–32 urges believers to no longer live like the Gentiles, who are darkened in their understanding and separated from God due to ignorance and hardened hearts. Paul calls for a transformation—putting off the old self corrupted by deceitful desires and putting on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. He instructs Christians to speak truthfully, manage anger without sinning, work honestly, and use their words to build others up. The passage ends with a call to kindness, compassion, and forgiveness, just as God in Christ forgave us.

In Christ: Paul's Letter to the Ephesians

Rev. Dr. Billy Burch

Main Idea:

In our study of Ephesians, a book of the Bible written by the Apostle Paul, we have seen chapters 1-3 describe doctrine – the particulars of what we believe. Now, in chapters 4-6 we will find what it means for us to live in Christ. In response to the doctrine, these chapters are about what we do. Depending on our translation, verse 1 of chapter 4 says to lead a life, or live, or walk the life we are called to by God.

In Christ: Paul's Letter to the Ephesians

Rev. Scott Allen

Main Idea:

In Ephesians 3:14-21, the Apostle Paul offers a heartfelt prayer for the believers in Ephesus. He kneels before God and prays that they would be strengthened with spiritual power through the Holy Spirit, deeply rooted in Christ’s love, and able to grasp the vastness of God’s love. Paul’s prayer builds toward a beautiful crescendo: that they may be “filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” He ends with a doxology, praising God’s ability to do far more than we could ever ask or imagine.

In Christ: Paul's Letter to the Ephesians

Rev. Scott Allen

Main Idea:

God is in the business of transforming lives. Consider the Apostle Paul, the writer of the book we are studying, Ephesians. Paul was notorious for persecuting Christians, but Jesus confronted and changed him completely. In Christ, Paul spread the gospel across the world.  God is still transforming people today to do His good work.
